What a weekend for our Morselli Jiu Jitsu kids! Several athletes from our competition team earned first-place finishes at the IBJJF No-Gi Pans and ADCC New Jersey, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.
Behind every match is time spent training, tough rounds with teammates, and the determination to keep improving. Seeing our young athletes put that work into action on the competition mats is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
More Than Just Winning
Of course, earning first place is an incredible feeling. But what makes us most proud is watching these kids grow as athletes and as teammates.
Competition teaches children how to handle pressure, stay focused when things get difficult, and learn from every experience. Some days bring big wins, while others bring lessons that help prepare them for the next challenge. Both are important parts of the journey.
Our kids competition team continues to show that progress comes from consistency, a willingness to learn, and the courage to step onto the mats and test themselves.
A Team Effort
Although only one athlete competes in a match at a time, nobody gets there alone. Training partners push each other, coaches help athletes prepare, and families make countless sacrifices to support their children.
That support is a big part of what makes our Morselli Jiu Jitsu community special. We celebrate the first-place finishes, but we also celebrate the effort, sportsmanship, and teamwork that happen long before competition day.
We’re proud to see our young athletes representing Morselli Jiu Jitsu at events like IBJJF No-Gi Pans and ADCC New Jersey, gaining experience and continuing to develop their skills.
Watching Them Grow
At our Taunton and Attleboro academies, we want kids to have a place where they can challenge themselves, build confidence, and enjoy learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Whether a student trains for fun or has goals of competing, there is always something new to learn and another way to improve.
Congratulations to all our young competitors who stepped onto the mats this past weekend, especially those who brought home first-place finishes. Thank you to our coaches, teammates, and families for being part of the journey.
We’re proud of this group and excited to see what comes next!
