Our Competition Team (Level 2 Advanced Program) is designed for kids who are serious about becoming masters of Jiu-Jitsu and are committed to competing. This program is for children who are ready to take their training to the next level, focusing on both technique and performance in a competitive environment.
To qualify for the Competition Team, your child must be committed to training and improving their skills. This includes:
- Training Commitment: Your child must be able to dedicate at least 2 hours per day to Jiu-Jitsu training, six days a week. The program consists of 12 hours of training per week, ensuring that students are constantly improving their technical and physical abilities.
- Comprehensive Training: We offer a balanced training schedule that includes both Gi and No-Gi training. The No-Gi training introduces important wrestling techniques, including takedowns, scrambles, and transitions, which are crucial for a well-rounded skill set.
- World-Class Coaching: Our program is led by top-tier coaches, including black belts who are recognized as some of the best in the world. We also have coaches with over two decades of experience working with kids, ensuring that your child is receiving the best guidance in their Jiu-Jitsu journey.
- Competition Ready: To be in the Level 2 Advanced Program, your child must be ready to compete with the team. As a team, we participate in top-tier tournaments such as IBJJF, Abu Dhabi (ADCC), and Grappling Industries, which are the pinnacle of Jiu-Jitsu competition.
These tournaments offer the highest level of exposure and competitive experience for your child. Additionally, we also participate in Jiu-Jitsu World League, Naga, and Grappling Industries, which are second-tier competitions where we work to build experience and provide more exposure for our kids.

How to Qualify for Morselli Jiu Jitsu's Competition Team
Parents often ask, “How do I qualify for the Advanced & Competition level?”
To qualify for the competition team, your child must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Your child needs to have at least 1 to 1.5 years of Jiu-Jitsu or over 2 years of grappling experience. This experience is important for grasping the necessary skills and techniques required at this level.
- Skill Development: Your child must demonstrate that they are capable of understanding and executing basic and intermediate techniques with confidence and precision.
- Training Commitment: Competition training consists of two hours of training, six days a week. In order to qualify, your child must show they can handle this level of training intensity. The child must not only possess the technical skills but also have the work ethic to sustain the demanding training schedule.
- Demonstrating Hard Work: Beyond technical skills, jiu-jitsu competition training requires a strong commitment to hard work, focus, and determination. This includes consistently performing drills, sparring, and applying techniques during training.
